Next step towards the industrialisation of the construction sector in Africa

In December the time had come: Archibat opened its doors in Côte d’Ivoire (CIV) from 12 to 16 December 2023. The architecture and construction trade fair focusses on the topics of building, planning and living space in Africa. It goes without saying that NEULANDT Côte d’Ivoire should not be missing.

Following the successful opening of the precast factory in March (Link), NEULANDT Côte d’Ivoire took another important step in the industrialisation of the construction sector in Africa. Over the five days of the trade fair, visitors were able to discover the technology and ecosystem that will enable the realisation of large-scale and standardised industrial buildings in Africa.

Comprehensive ecosystem on site

With the portable precast plant N3P, NEULANDT CIV supplies the technology and production capacity for the economical and efficient production of precast concrete elements on site. NEULANDT CIV has built up a comprehensive ecosystem to provide customers with optimum support from design and supply up to logistic and execution. The company has a team of European and local construction experts who transport the technological concept and construction expertise across the entire continent. The strength of this approach is demonstrated by the collaboration with local companies in Côte d’Ivoire, including the engineering firm OBTIMA-BEG INGENIERIE and the building materials manufacturer LafargeHolcim Côte d’Ivoire. These strong partnership was also successfully demonstrated during the well-attended B2B presentation.

The current housing deficit in Côte d’Ivoire is around 500,000 units and is increasing by a further 50,000 units per year, reflecting the strong population growth in the sub-region. The solution lies in the N3P mobile precast factory, which produces an impressive 1000m² of walls per day at 100% capacity. This makes it possible to service large-scale projects such as apartment buildings, infrastructure projects and industrial buildings. In two-shift operation, the production of 400 units of multi-storey buildings per year can be ensured.

The visit to the NEULANDT booth by high-ranking government representatives such as the Minister of Construction Bruno Nabagné Kone and the Minister of Trade and Industry Souleymane Diarrassouba emphasised the high priority of rapid and high-quality construction development in CIV on the political agenda. The factory tours during the trade fair were a particular highlight. The short distance between the exhibition hall and the factory made it possible for potential customers to take a live tour of and gain an in-depth insight into the technology and production processes directly in the factory.

Richard Lorant, Country Manager, NEULANDT Cote d’Ivoire
“With our comprehensive local ecosystem and the innovative N3P, we are ideally positioned to tackle the housing deficit in Côte d’Ivoire and make a sustainable contribution to the region’s development.”
