Industrialisation of construction in West Africa.

As in many developing countries, the population of Côte d’Ivoire is growing rapidly. Owing to economic and political factors, the rural exodus is increasing more and more. Affordable housing is scarce, especially in urban areas. This is where NEULANDT comes in with its N3P mobile field factory. With the economic and efficient production of prefabricated concrete elements onsite, we support the construction industry in Côte d’Ivoire in building new housing throughout the country. For this purpose, NEULANDT has founded the local company NEULANDT Côte d’Ivoire in Abidjan, which industrialises construction sites and construction processes together with local experts. At the same time, the new location forms the hub for the use of N3P technology in Sub-Saharan Africa. And the starting signal on the way to becoming the West African market leader for prefabricated wall elements.

N3P Pilot Project West Africa: modularisation and sustainability in construction.

With NEULANDT Côte d’Ivoire in Abidjan, NEULANDT lays the foundation for the industrialisation of construction in a part of the world where the challenges of urban planning and access to housing are most sensitive. Our investment in this mobile production plant for reinforced concrete wall elements is accompanied in the field by the creation of a complete ecosystem to support industrialisation, from the design and engineering office to assembly, including the supply of aggregates and financing.

First N3P pilot plant in Abidjan

The first N3P mobile production line is being assembled and will be in operation by 2023. Then it will be able to produce up to 1000 m2 of reinforced concrete wall elements per day. One hundred people are being recruited locally and are beginning to receive training from the head office team in order to guarantee a transfer of skills and 100% Ivorian added value within the short term.

Place for knowledge exchange and cooperation

Côte d’Ivoire’s mission is to provide all players and stakeholders in the construction sector with initial insights, inspiration and support along the path to industrialisation, while collaborating with large-scale projects, mainly in the social and economic domain. In this respect, this pilot site will serve many purposes (for example, production, training and services), but above all, it will be a place where people can come together to share knowledge concerning project implementation.
